What is ExpenseIt?

ExpenseIt® Pro from Concur® is an app that turns receipts into expenses, automagically, and sends them directly into Concur Expense. It makes submitting receipts, creating expense reports and getting reimbursed quicker and easier by doing a lot of the work for you. Simply take a photo of a receipt right from the app while on the go, or forward digital receipts to receipts@expenseit.com. ExpenseIt Pro does the rest – selecting the expense category, matching credit card charges and even itemizing hotel bills. Just go into Concur Expense to find the completed expenses with receipt photos attached, add them to a report, and you're done.

How does ExpenseIt work?

What language is ExpenseIt available in?

The ExpenseIt user interface is currently available in English. ExpenseIt can capture different currencies from receipts, but is optimized for English language receipts.

The app is currently available for sale to Concur clients in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK.

How does the receipt capture process work?

ExpenseIt Pro uses two types of receipt image analysis for accuracy:
  • OCR technology with added intelligence from Concur, so the service gets smarter the more you use it.
  • A global team that audits up to 700,000 expense reports per day for more than 16,000 Concur customers, including more than half of the Fortune 500 companies.

Can you email receipts to ExpenseIt?

Yes. If a receipt has been emailed to you, forward it to receipts@expenseit.com; after it's analyzed, it will be waiting for you in Concur Expense.

Which mobile device platform is the app available on?

ExpenseIt is available for iOS, Android and BlackBerry 10.

What's the difference between the ExpenseIt Pro app and Concur Mobile?

They're integrated together to make submitting expenses on the go easier, so you can get reimbursed faster. ExpenseIt creates expenses directly from receipt images, whereas Concur Mobile is a central place to submit your expense reports (or approve them, if you're a manager) and provides additional features for booking travel, submitting or approving invoices, and more.

How do I view my exported ExpenseIt receipt and complete my report in Concur Expense?

ExpenseIt Pro is designed solely to analyze receipts and send them to Concur Expense. Management of your expense reports can be handled with Concur Mobile and the web version of Concur Expense. After exporting your receipts from ExpenseIt Pro to Concur (manually or automatically), you will need to go to Concur Expense and add your expenses into an expense report.

All receipts not already added to an individual expense report will appear under Available Expenses on your main Expense page. You can transfer one or multiple expenses via the Move menu above your available expenses. Note: To edit any receipt data, you first need to move your receipt into an individual expense report.

Why should I turn on "automatically export expenses to Concur?"

With the ExpenseIt Pro app, you can choose to review your analyzed receipts (in order to make any changes before sending to Concur Expense) or have them automatically sent to Concur Expense:
  • To review and edit analyzed receipts prior to export, select email or push notifications in the app's settings. After you review or make changes, simply click "export" to send the receipts to Concur Expense.
  • To have your analyzed receipts sent to Concur Expense without reviewing, select "automatically export expenses to Concur" in the app's settings, and they'll be waiting for you in Concur Expense – where you can also make changes.

How do I resubmit receipts?

If for any reason you have submitted your receipt and have not received the analyzed receipt, you can resubmit your receipt image as long as it has been stored in your Camera Roll (iOS) or Gallery (Android). For iOS users, click on the camera button in the ExpenseIt Pro app to go to the camera mode. You will then see an icon for selecting from your gallery. Select the image of the receipt that you want to submit. For Android users, open your gallery and locate the ExpenseIt folder. All (non-deleted) images you have taken with the ExpenseIt Pro app will be housed here. After opening the receipt image, click on the share icon in the action bar at the top of the page. From there, email your receipts to receipts@expenseit.com, then you can access it with Concur Expense.

How do I edit expenses submitted from ExpenseIt in Concur Expense?

To edit an expense submitted from ExpenseIt Pro to Concur Expense go to the "View Transactions" tab, then select the expense line item. Add the expense to a new or existing expense report. Click on the "Manage Expenses" tab, select the expense line item and edit any of the fields in the "Expense" tab, including expense type, amount, location and more.

What are ExpenseIt best practices?

ExpenseIt Pro is designed to use while on the go. The best way to use it is to take a photo of your receipt at the time of purchase with ExpenseIt Pro. By the time you're ready to submit your expense reports in Concur Expense at the end of a trip, all of your receipts will be analyzed and ready for you to add to a report.

How does ExpenseIt work with American Express?

American Express® and Concur work together to help you seamlessly manage your business expenses. When you make a purchase with your Card, American Express will notify ExpenseIt. You will then receive a synchronized notification reminding you to take a photo of your receipt with the ExpenseIt Pro app.

What if I forgot my username or password?

No worries. It happens to the best of us. Just a reminder that you sign into ExpenseIt with the same credentials you use to sign into www.concursolutions.com. If you still need help, here are your options:
